Over this long weekend, I was revisiting some of the favorites in my horror movie collection. (I've mentioned before that I'm a big horror movie fan - weaned on things like Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th.)
These days, the horror movies that make it into my "favorites" category are the ones that are less about gore and gross-out frights and more about story-telling, character building, visual spectacle and an atmosphere that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand at attention.

Now, to answer the Not Mommy Hop question of the week - What is your all-time favorite song? - I have to say....I'm honestly not sure.
I'm a music fiend. It's painful to narrow down a favorite. Though John Cale's version of "Hallelujah" just might make it to that top slot.
My current-favorite song is Emilie Autumn's "Fight Like A Girl."

i haven't seen this one--it looks great--i have always loved the theme from rosemary's baby, and of course "tubular bells" from the exorcist and i think it was one of the "i know what you did last summer" maybe the first one--that used and eerie hard core version of "summer breeze"
Oh, I love "Tubular Bells." Almost forgot about that one.
Also, "A Summer Place" makes it on my list of favorite creepy music, mostly due to its use in Stephen King's Rose Red. :)
I'm not sure! I rarely notice or at least remember music from horror movies. I like horror movies, though, if they are well done.

I get so so so scared by movie TRAILERS! That I never actually watch a movie. I get so easily spooked it's annoying. They say women are more into thrillers and horror movies than men, but I get nightmares reading Agatha Christie. *sigh*

Sometimes I'm sad that I seem to be impossible to scare when it comes to horror movies. :) I'm happy when I find one that can make me jump or make the hairs rise on the back of my neck rise.
